In my final research report, I unexpectedly found myself reflecting on my own naivety regarding the topic of performing arts. As I began to map out my ideas, I realized that my understanding of performing arts was limited and biased, shaped by my upbringing and cultural background. I came to the realization that performing arts hold significant value to people from different cultures and religions, just as much as it does to me. This led me to question why traditional performance theatre has not developed globally, rather than solely focusing on the absence of musical theatre in the United Arab Emirates. Maybe  I  pose a slightly different question- instead of 'why hasnt musical theatre developed in the united Arab emirates?',  perhaps it should be 'why hasn't traditional performance theatre developed as it has globally'
