I've stated my research and I've digitalised my questionnaire in order to hopeful increase the amount of responses I receive. One thing that I am struggling with is getting my questionnaire in front of local people ( which is specifically my target audience )  this has highlighted to me just how separate the two cultures still are, and the segrigation that stands all over Dubai. 

For example I have lived in Dubai for 5 years now and yet I don't have one local friend, nor have I ever really interacted with many. I feel this is largely because of our difference in social activities, for example my friends and I will often go for cocktails on the beach- Emirati women rarely take themselves to the beach due to modesty reasons and the majority don't drink alcohol and therefore our social activities rarely cross over. 

So i'm having to extend my search for participants in my search. 

This also therefore makes me think is the rise in musical theatre really coming from the locals or is it merely for the ever growing expat community?
